Binance is shutting down its mining pool, Pool Savings and Cloud Mining on 10 November. Every miner pointed at Binance has less than four weeks to move. Here is what changes, what to do first, and how the main Bitcoin mining pools compare.
By Michal Beno, CEO, OneMiners14 October 2026
Binance will switch off Binance Pool on 10 November 2026 at 07:00 UTC. Pool Savings, Cloud Mining and the Transaction Accelerator close at the same time. After that moment, shares sent to Binance are not counted, so a Bitcoin miner still pointed at it earns nothing. Every Binance Pool miner needs to change the pool address on each machine before the deadline. The biggest open alternatives are AntPool, F2Pool and ViaBTC; smaller miners who want low fees or no custody often look at Braiins Pool and OCEAN.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

What exactly is closing, and when?
Binance published the notice on 13 October 2026. It covers the whole mining business of the exchange, not only Bitcoin: Binance Pool, Pool Savings, Cloud Mining and the Transaction Accelerator, plus the mining API, e-mail notices and hashrate alerts. At 07:00 UTC on 10 November the stratum addresses are disabled. Any Bitcoin miner still connected after that keeps running and using electricity, but its work is not credited.

The exchange itself is not affected. Only the mining products close. Cloud Mining customers have no hardware to move: their contracts simply end. Anyone holding Pool Savings should redeem them before the cutoff, and Binance may ask for identity checks before paying out balances.
How big was Binance Pool?
Smaller than many people think. Over the last 7 days, the public block explorer mempool.space credited Binance Pool with 9 of 1,060 Bitcoin blocks, a share of 0.85%. Over the past year its share was about 2.1%, and over three years about 2.7% (CryptoTicker, using mempool.space data). Bitcoin.com News put the hashrate still pointed at it at about 19.7 EH/s. So the network will hardly notice, but thousands of individual miners will.

What to do before 10 November: a 5-step switch plan
Pick the new pool
Compare payout method, fee and minimum payout (table below). Open an account and create a worker.
Change the pool address
In each miner's web page, replace the Binance stratum URL with the new pool's URL and your new worker name. Keep a backup pool in slot 2 or 3.
Check the hashrate
Within 10 to 30 minutes the new pool dashboard should show each worker. A missing worker usually means a typo in the worker name.
Empty Binance balances
Redeem Pool Savings and note any unpaid rewards. Balances are processed from 11 November.
Save your records
Download pool history before 24 November. It is the proof of what each miner earned, which matters for taxes.

The main Bitcoin mining pools, compared
A mining pool combines the hashrate of many miners and shares the reward. Pools differ in three ways that matter: how they pay (FPPS pays a steady amount per share, including transaction fees; PPLNS and TIDES pay based on blocks the pool actually finds), the fee, and the minimum payout. The table uses fees only where the pool publishes them on its own website. Where published figures disagree from one site to another, it says so instead of guessing.
Bitcoin mining pools for Binance Pool miners

There is no single best pool for everyone. A miner who wants steady daily income usually picks an FPPS pool and accepts a higher fee. A miner who wants the lowest fee and can live with ups and downs looks at PPLNS or TIDES. A miner who cares about keeping custody prefers a pool that pays straight from the block, such as OCEAN, or pays small amounts often, such as Braiins over Lightning. Spreading hashrate over two pools also protects against one pool closing, which is exactly the lesson of this week.
Mining Zcash, Litecoin or Kaspa on Binance Pool?
Binance Pool also served altcoin miners, and the shutdown covers the whole pool. Zcash miners can move to the large Zcash pools such as ViaBTC, F2Pool or Luxor; F2Pool publishes PPS+ at 3% for Zcash with a 0.1 ZEC minimum, and ViaBTC publishes PPS+ 4% or PPLNS 2%. Litecoin and Dogecoin miners can use F2Pool's merged-mining pool. For a full guide to Zcash pools and hardware, see the Zcash mining guide.
Why pool risk is one more reason to use hosting
A pool closing is a small event for a large operator and a stressful one for a home miner. When machines sit at a professional hosting site, the site team handles pool changes, firmware and monitoring for every unit at once. OneMiners hosts Bitcoin miners at locations across North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South America and Asia, with hosting from $0.048 per kWh and from $0.0364 per kWh on a 7-year prepaid contract. The owner keeps the machine and chooses where its rewards are paid.

Binance Pool's exit is not a crisis for Bitcoin, but it is a deadline for every miner still using it. Move early, test the new pool for a few days before 10 November, and keep a backup pool configured. The bigger lesson is to avoid a single point of failure: a second pool, a wallet you control, and a setup where someone is watching the machines. Frequently asked questions
When does Binance Pool close?
On 10 November 2026 at 07:00 UTC. Shares after that time are not counted. Pool history stays visible until 24 November 2026.
What happens to my Binance Pool rewards?
Rewards for shares sent before the cutoff are still paid. Binance processes final balances and refunds from 11 November 2026.
Is Binance Cloud Mining closing too?
Yes. Cloud Mining, Pool Savings and the Transaction Accelerator close on the same date. Cloud Mining contracts simply end.
Which mining pool is best after Binance?
It depends on what matters to you. AntPool, F2Pool and ViaBTC are the largest open pools; Braiins Pool and OCEAN suit miners who want low fees, Lightning payouts or no custody.
How do I change my Bitcoin miner's pool?
Open the miner's web interface, go to the pool settings, replace the Binance stratum URL and worker name with the new pool's details, save, and check the worker appears on the new pool's dashboard.
Will the Binance Pool closure change Bitcoin's hashrate?
Barely. Binance found under 1% of blocks in the last week. Its miners will move to other pools rather than switch off.
