Bitcoin Mining Rebound: Revenue per Machine Up About 40% Since July

Bitcoin Mining Rebound: Revenue per Machine Up About 40% Since July

Mining News  |  ONEMINERS NEWS DESK

Bitcoin's price climbed much faster than network difficulty this quarter, so every Bitcoin miner now earns more for the same work.

What happened

Bitcoin mining got more rewarding this quarter. Hashprice, the revenue one petahash of computing power earns per day, rose from a low of about $28 in July to about $40 today, a gain of roughly 43%. Bitcoin's price rose sharply while network difficulty barely moved.

Bitcoin closed June near $60,000 and trades around $83,200 today. Over the same stretch, mining difficulty, the number that sets how hard it is to find a block, moved from 124.9 trillion in mid June to 132.76 trillion after the 19 September adjustment. Price rose about 38%. Difficulty rose about 6%. That gap goes straight into every Bitcoin miner's daily revenue.

Difficulty is still well below its peak

Difficulty hit an all-time high of 155.97 trillion in October 2025. Since then, high-cost operators have unplugged older machines, and some public miners have moved power over to AI data centres. Two big drops stand out: -11.2% in February and -10.1% in June, the largest cuts of 2026. The network has only partly refilled that space.

The next adjustment is due around 3 October. estimates range from about -0.7% (Luxor) to +0.5% (mempool.space), so it looks roughly flat, and the gain in revenue per machine should hold into October unless Bitcoin's price reverses.

What a higher hashprice means for your Bitcoin miner

A higher hashprice raises the break-even electricity price, which is the most your power can cost before a machine stops paying for itself. The formula is simple: break-even rate = hashprice / (24 x efficiency in J/TH).

Every current-generation machine clears OneMiners' published hosting rates, which start at $0.048 per kWh in Nigeria and go down to $0.0364 on a 7-year prepaid contract. Even an older S19k Pro now has room to spare, which it did not have in July.

THE ONEMINERS VIEW

Rallies come and go, but the power bill stays. The miners who do best over time are the ones who lock in cheap electricity before the good months, not during them. OneMiners publishes every rate on its hosting centers page, with fixed contracts for up to seven years.
