Two weeks after Binance announced the end of its mining pool, the data shows something surprising: its Bitcoin miners are still there. Here is what the numbers say, the six mistakes that cost miners money in a pool switch, and a final checklist before 10 November.
By Michal Beno, CEO, OneMiners26 October 2026
Binance Pool stops at 07:00 UTC on 10 November 2026. After that, any Bitcoin miner still pointed at it keeps running and paying for power, but its work is not credited. Two weeks after the announcement, about 12 EH/s of mining power is still connected, and the pool found 13 blocks in the last 7 days. If any of your machines use a Binance address, in any pool slot, change it now. It takes minutes per machine.

The surprise: the miners came back
When Binance announced the closure on 13 October, its hashrate had already dropped. mempool.space estimated it at about 3.8 EH/s in the week of 12 October, down from about 15 to 23 EH/s over the summer. Then it climbed again, to about 10.6 EH/s and 12 EH/s in the two weeks after the announcement. The last Binance block on our count, number 973,210, came at 07:40 UTC on 26 October.

Why would miners stay? Some are probably waiting for the last payouts. Others use Binance only as a backup pool, and many hosted or remote machines are simply not checked often. Whatever the reason, a Bitcoin miner still connected on 10 November will mine for nobody. Shares sent before the cutoff still count, so there is no reason to leave it to the last day.

Six mistakes that cost Bitcoin miners money in a pool switch
Forgetting the backup slots
Most Bitcoin miners have three pool slots. If Binance stays in slot 2 or 3, the machine fails over to a dead pool the first time the main pool has a hiccup.
Leaving it to the last day
Firmware logins get lost, remote machines go offline, support desks get busy. Every day before the cutoff is free time to fix problems.
A typo in the worker name
Most pools use the format account.worker. One wrong character and the hashrate lands nowhere. Check the new pool dashboard 30 minutes after the change.
Choosing on the fee alone
A 2% fee on a pool that pays only when it finds blocks can pay less, and less steadily, than 2.5% on an FPPS pool. Look at the payout method first.
Leaving money in Pool Savings
Pool Savings closes with the pool. Redeem positions and note any unpaid rewards before 10 November.
Not saving your records
Pool history disappears on 24 November. Download it: it is the record of what each Bitcoin miner earned, which you may need for taxes.

Where did Binance's miners go?
The largest pools are the same as before the announcement. In the last 7 days, Foundry USA, AntPool and F2Pool found about 64% of all Bitcoin blocks. Foundry's share rose from about 25.5% in the week of the announcement to about 27%. Smaller pools that pay straight to the miner's wallet, like OCEAN, also grew, from about 2.1% to 2.8%.

Your final checklist before 10 November
Open an account at the new pool and create one worker per machine, or one per group.
Change all three pool slots on every Bitcoin miner. Remove every Binance address.
Check the new dashboard after 30 minutes. Every worker should show hashrate.
Redeem Pool Savings and write down any unpaid Binance balance.
Download your pool history before 24 November.

A Bitcoin miner's long-term numbers depend far more on its power price and uptime than on which pool it points at. Frequently asked questions
When does Binance Pool close?
At 07:00 UTC on 10 November 2026. Shares submitted after that time are not credited.
Will I lose my Binance Pool rewards?
Rewards earned before the cutoff are processed from 11 November under Binance's normal rules. Pool Savings should be redeemed before the cutoff.
Is anyone still mining at Binance Pool?
Yes. mempool.space estimated about 12 EH/s in the week to 26 October, and the pool found 13 blocks in those 7 days.
Which pool should Binance miners switch to?
The largest open pools are AntPool, F2Pool and ViaBTC. Smaller miners often look at Braiins Pool or OCEAN. Compare payout method, fee and minimum payout.
How long does it take to change a mining pool?
A few minutes per Bitcoin miner: enter the new stratum address and worker name in the miner's settings page, save, and check the new pool's dashboard.
Your pool can change in a minute. Your power price is the decision that lasts.
